The new Kia EV9 has a standard option that comes with rear-wheel drive and uses a single electric motor mounted on the rear wheels to generate 215 horsepower. You can opt for a single-motor longer-range option, which brings you 201 horsepower. There are also all-wheel drive options which use a dual-motor option that combine to produce 379 horsepower.
In terms of range, it depends on the battery pack you choose, whether it's the 76.1-kWh battery pack that's standard or the larger 99.8-kWh battery pack on extended range options or all-wheel drive choices. It's estimated that you'll be able to find around 223 miles of range up to 300 miles of range based on the setup. As far as charging time goes, it's expected that DC fast chargers should be able to add just under 150 miles in 15 minutes.
