What's New on the 2023 Kia Stinger?
This is the last year the Kia Stinger will be made. The automaker has announced that the sports sedan is in its final year as it shifts toward EV-focused vehicles of a similar nature. What you will find this last year is a simplified lineup with just two trim levels. It also comes with different special edition packages call Apex and Grand Tourer. The Apex adds Brembo brakes, black exhaust tips, fenders, and mirrors to the 2023 Kia Stinger GT-Line, while the Grand Tourer is exclusive on the 2023 Kia Stinger GT2, with the same Apex features, plus interior options like suede onboard.
2023 Kia Stinger Trim Levels
The two trim levels available for the final year of the Kia Stinger are as follows:
- 2023 Kia Stinger GT-Line: this provides you with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, along with rear-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive, and safety such as auto emergency braking and blind spot detection while giving you a 12-way power driver's seat
- 2023 Kia Stinger GT2: on this trim, there is a twin-turbo V6 engine as well as high-performance brakes, plus a sunroof with power sunshade, a 15-speaker sound system, head-up display, Nappa leather seating, and heated front and rear seats with a smart power trunk
Performance
With the 2023 Kia Stinger, there are two options. The Stinger GT-Line has a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 300 horsepower and 311-pound feet of torque. With the 2023 Kia Stinger GT2, you up the power to a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that has 368 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. Both are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and each is able to attain quality fuel economy ratings with GT-Line options earning 22 miles per gallon in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. With V6 options it is 18 miles per gallon in the city and 25 miles per gallon on the highway.
Interior, Technology and Safety
The Kia Stinger seats five and has rear seats that are lauded for their comfort in its segment, as it feels roomy and allows those sitting in the back to enjoy the ride. The inside is sporty to reflect the vehicle's look and feel and is highlighted by an eight-inch or 10.25-inch touch display in the center to give you access to Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay® as well as other features like wireless phone charging, and a 15-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system available.
